SHOWstudio: Fashion Revolution, Somerset House, London
I went to the SHOWstudio exhibition yesterday, and I have to say I was really impressed with it. It’s all fashion related (as the website is) but there is a lot of different ways of displaying and presenting it.
-A lot of video installations, clothes by various designers, interactive things and still images.
There’s a lot of things there to do and see, and you could easily spend a long time there. especially watching the fashion films in the downstairs area.
It’s pretty much everything that has been/shown on, or has something to do with SHOWstudio in the past 9 years, plus some more, in real life. So if you like the website, you will like the exhibition.
Unfortunately I didn’t get to see any live shoots as there wasn’t one on while I was there, but even without that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and will definately be visiting again before it ends on the 20th December.
I would recommend going with people who you know either won’t mind being there for a while, or will enjjoy it just as much as you because there is so much to do and see, you will want to spend a while there. And this won’t be very interesting for people who don’t enjoy that type of thing
